Maria Waldl
TBI, University of Vienna - Austria
I am a PhD student with Prof. Ivo Hofacker at the TBI in Vienna. My main research interest is bioinformatics of ribonucleic acids (RNAs) with a focus on folding dynamics of RNA structures and the evolution of non-coding RNAs. Currently, I am investigating RNA-RNA interactions and want to create screening methods that can predict regulatory targets of RNAs. Next to my studies, I have participated in a self-organized hackerspace where I helped organize the photography group and cryptoparties.
