  1. What are your main interests?
I am interested in Metabolism Theory especially in unicellular organism, metabolism pathway network in unicellular organism, and the entropy of network system (e.g. ecosystem entropy). My former research in China is about species-abundance relationship, environmental factors affecting species distribution, and also ecological modeling for predicting potential distribution of species, which I am still interested in and working on.

  2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group?
Programming in R (a nice free software, like Matlab). Rhododendron diversity pattern in China. Metabolism scaling theory.

  3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS?
The ways people thinking are what I most hope to get out of the CSSS.
Secondly, I want to learn more about the network scaling, nonlinear science, mathematic biology and physics.

  4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS? (Recall that you will all be working in groups on at least one project with the goal of presenting your progress on the last day and finishing up a paper by sumer's end.)
I am working on theoretical project about biodiversity pattern basic on species niche and range size. Secondly, I am working on a mechanism model for biodiversity distribution pattern by combining logistic equation and diffusion equation. Furthermore, I am looking for the problem in metabolism scaling which I hope to be my project for summer school and part of my dissertation.
