Gerard (Gerry) Ostheimer
Managing Director, below50
WBCSD - Switzerland
Dr. Ostheimer serves as the Managing Director for below50, which is a global campaign to de-carbonize the hard to electrify aspects of transportation. Working with diverse international partners, like the IE, IRENA and SEforALL, he promotes the development and deployment of sustainable bioenergy and renewable fuels. Dr. Ostheimer has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Oregon and did postdoctoral work in Cancer Systems Biology at MIT.
