I have bachelor's (Hons) degree in Engineering Physics from Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar/Brazil-2005), having done research on refractory ceramics, at the Department of Materials Engineering. I accomplished the Programme of Young Talents Development, in 2005, and the Trainee Programme, in 2006, at Siemens Brazil, working for that company as Product Manager until 2008. During this period I also attended the postgraduate programme in Product Marketing at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/Brazil). I left this job to be the founder and portfolio manager of a financial investments company until 2013, when it was sold. In 2014, I attended the postgraduate programme in Computer Science at the University of Campinas (Unicamp/Brazil) as special student. I’m now a PhD candidate in Statistical Physics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
