Complex Systems Winter School 2015

I have bachelor's (Hons) degree in Engineering Physics from Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar/Brazil-2005), having done research on refractory ceramics, at the Department of Materials Engineering. I accomplished the Programme of Young Talents Development, in 2005, and the Trainee Programme, in 2006, at Siemens Brazil, working for that company as Product Manager until 2008. During this period I also attended the postgraduate programme in Product Marketing at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/Brazil). I left this job to be the founder and portfolio manager of a financial investments company until 2013, when it was sold. In 2014, I attended the postgraduate programme in Computer Science at the University of Campinas (Unicamp/Brazil) as special student. I’m now a PhD candidate in Statistical Physics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. My research area is Complex Systems and Network Science, with focus on generative models for evolving social and economic networks. [ Website]
