I'm a third-year undergrad (as of 10/15/09) at the University of New Mexico, studying philosophy. I was introduced to the world of complexity sciences a year ago and have structured my future academic path as well as personal interests to pick up as much of it as I can.
I've been working with and learning from Bela Nagy at SFI on his technological evolution studies and Stephen Guerin on agent-based modeling using NetLogo. I've also been taking the show on the road and teaching computational research to elementary- and mid- school students throughout the state through Project G.U.T.S. and high school students through the Supercomputing Challenge.
My interests are mostly in the social sciences: economics, game theory and "general" epistemological sociology. I enjoy the aesthetics of the ideas of emergence and nonlinearity (sensitive dependence on initial conditions, chaotic flows, etc.) and hope to learn more as I immerse myself in the field.
Tour Guide
Feel free to ask me if you have questions about food and dining, after-hours events or other things to do in the Santa Fe and greater New Mexico region. I love playing tour guide and introducing visitors to Santa Fe.
When I'm not around SFI I can be found at the Santa Fe Complex having fun with the things and people found there.
