She received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Washington. One of her lines of research focuses on the dynamics of valuation and definition around new digital currencies such as Bitcoin. Another is devoted to formally modeling and experimentally validating the emergence of cultural dynamics from individuals’ implicit cognition.
