Complex Systems Summer School 2015

I obtained Master of Science degree in Water Science and Engineering, specialization Hydroinformatics from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, The Netherlands. For two and half years after graduation, I worked as researcher assistant at UNESCO-IHE in a Flood Risk Assessment project in the Caribbean island of Saint Maarten. Currently, I am a PhD research fellow of Urban Water Systems at UNESCO-IHE. The PhD research work proposed a holistic risk assessment framework for urban flooding in coastal cities. Among others, the framework includes institutional analysis to investigate how cultures, norms, governance, policies and economic development paths affect the formation, propagation and accumulation of flood risk.
