Mary Cadwallender, Virginia Technical Institute – Fredericksburg VA USA

Mary is a graduate student in Landscape Architecture at Virginia Tech's Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center in Alexandria, VA. She found her way to Landscape Architecture via the Peace Corps, where her work as a Sustainable Agriculture Extension Agent showed her the opportunities for design in agricultural and infrastructural systems. She has also worked in urban agriculture and horticulture, and her undergraduate degree is in Chemistry/Biochemistry and Women's Studies.
