Gord Stephen, University of Waterloo – Kanata Ontario Canada

My primary research interests are in energy efficiency and demand-side management, particularly in the residential sector: my current work focuses on integrating smart meter data with social demographic, real estate, and energy audit records to identify high-potential opportunities (both social and technical) for energy retrofits at a neighbourhood and household level. Moving forward, I'm also very interested in the implications of transport decarbonization for urban energy networks.

I have an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics from Queen's University, and am in the final stages of completing my Masters of Environmental Studies with the Sustainable Energy Policy research group at the University of Waterloo. I'm also an avid software developer and open-source contributor to several statistical computing projects.
