Glenn Magerman was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, Department of Economics in 2014. He is a PhD student at KU Leuven (Belgium), working on networks in international trade. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Arts for the Flemish Government, which oversees applications for subsidies in the Arts. Glenn is also co-founder of the Otlet Salons, a communication platform bringing together young leaders from the arts to the sciences, in collaboration with Fulbright and the US Embassy to Belgium. Currently, Glenn is an external researcher at the National Bank of Belgium, working on several projects that look at firm-to-firm networks and the macro impact of micro shocks (productivity, supply shocks, ...). Glenn is also a professional musician, graduated both in classical and in jazz music, has toured the world with several bands and orchestras and appeared on over 40 recordings. He also composed, arranged and produced for different settings, including the soundtrack for a Belgian TV series and won several musical awards, such as a BBC Music Award in 2004.
