I'm a PhD student in Computer Science at USC with roughly 2 years under my belt. I study how information theory and machine learning can come together to uncover useful structure in complex systems. I’m particularly interested in how to learn synergistic relationships, and how these might be useful in neural coding. My life away from research is filled with hiking, painting/sketching, disturbing my housemates playing piano/drums, and finding obscure places to grab tea in LA.
