Panamanian lawyer, sociologist and economist. He has Masters' degrees in Business Administration (Catholic University of Panama, 2006), Political Risk Analysis, Economics and Finance (Fordham University, 2008) and a PhD in Economics (Macroeconomics and Applied Econometrics) and Political Science (U.S. Politics) from the New School for Social Research. He has published research in the Cambridge Journal of Economics, Problems of Development Journal, Colombian Journal of Sociology, Latin American Journal of Social Sciences, Latin American Perspectives and Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, and written opinion pieces in local and international news outlets. He has served as a consultant to Transparency International, university lecturer, researcher to various U.S. and Panamanian think-tanks and as junior diplomat to the United Nations.
