Chile Complex Systems Summer School 2013 |
I am a PhD student in the laboratory of Evolutionary Dynamics and Complex Systems at the Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil. My research PhD interests are in the interface between behavior, evolution and self-organization in insect societies (mostly in ants and wasps). Currently, I am investigating the dynamics of movement (e.g. displacement, angle and activity/non-activity) presented by individuals and groups in species that differ with respect to their morphological, behavioral and social traits. I also have interest in biomimicry (e.g. competition and traffic), individual behavior versus swarm intelligence in societies and social interactions among different species. I hope to use an interdisciplinary basis in my current projects and future works on the biodiverse Brazilian fauna.
