Roberto is a Ph.D. student in Physics and member of the Complex Systems Group (Grupo de Sistemas Complejos) at Universidad de Chile. He is working in the area of plasma physics, and focuses his thesis on the magnetic fluctuations in the solar wind by considering the contribution of power-law distributions which arise from the non-extensive statistical mechanics proposed by C. Tsallis.
