I'm a PhD student at the University of Maryland studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. My work focuses on microbial systems, specifically the arms races that occur between bacteria and their viral predators and the evolution of the prokaryotic CRISPR adaptive immune system. I'm particularly interested in the strategies different organisms develop to deal with variable environments.
