As an astrobiologist, I study the origin of life here on Earth and what this can tell us about potential life in the universe. My research focuses what makes the biochemical reactions within life different than the inorganic reactions outside of life. I use the homochirality of life as a means of distinguishing life from non-life in order to find the original leap from non-living reactions to living ones.
I am a second year PhD student at Arizona State University, where I study the origin of life here on Earth and what it can tell us about potential life in the universe.
