Robert Coulter

As a public health researcher, my mission is to reduce substance use and violence inequities for sexual and gender minority youth (SGMY; i.e., lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender youth). I conduct three lines of inquiry: epidemiologic, intervention, and complex systems science research. My research agenda focuses on: improving knowledge of the complex social mechanisms producing SGMY health inequities; and increasing knowledge about the impact of interventions on health inequities for SGMY.
