I use coral reefs as model systems to understand complex nonlinear dynamics in ecology. I'm particularly interested in non-equilibrium dynamics, regime shifts bifurcations, and predicting ecosystem behavior in a changing world. When I'm not looking for fundamental patterns in nature, I'm likely to be building experiential art in either physical or concept space.
