Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution - U.S.
I am a PhD student in Microbial Oceanography. I develop mechanistic models of microbial interactions. I study how microbes exchange organic resources, like vitamins, that are essential for growth. I focus on integrating positive non-trophic interactions into microbial ecosystem models that include resource competition and grazing. Outside of research, I enjoy traveling, painting, drawing, biking, hiking, Belgian beers, and curling up to a good Sci-Fi story or anything written by Carl Sagan.
