Complex Systems Summer School 2020 |
Susan Sechrist
PhD Student
University of British Columbia - Canada
I'm a second year PhD student in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of British Columbia - Vancouver. I'm studying how writers use mathematical metaphors in literature and fiction. I worked for 20 years as a technical writer, striving to make complicated texts more accessible through figurative language; now, I'm interested in how creative writers innovate by using complex figures inherent in math and science.
