I am a PhD student at the University of Bern in Switzerland and the ETH water research institute Eawag. I study political networks and the dynamics behind their formation. I have a background in sociology (BA and MA) and economics (BA) and switched to political science for my PhD - mostly because of the cool statistical network models they've been developing over the past years.
For my PhD thesis I am working on an expansion of a statistical method called relational event models which combines event history analysis (or survival analysis) with social network analysis.
I am interested in finding ways to incorporate ABMs into statistical models for goodness of fit analyses.
