Meredith Tromble is an intermedia artist and writer who often works collaboratively. Her reflective, slyly humorous talks, installations, performances have been widely presented at venues ranging from the Mills Museum in her home state of California to the Tate Britain in London and the University of Manizales in Colombia. Since 2011 she has been artist-in-residence at the Complexity Sciences Center at the University of California, Davis, in an ongoing collaboration with geobiologist and Mars Curiosity scientist Dawn Sumner, Dream Vortex. This interactive, 3-D virtual artwork is also a “dancer” in a new performance work by the choreographer Donna Sternberg and her company. Tromble has published extensively in books, radio, and web; in 2012 her blog "Art and Shadows" on contemporary art in light of contemporary science received an Art Writers award from the Andy Warhol Foundation.
