I am a computer engineer pursuing a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence in the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Bio-Inspired Computing at the University of Campinas, Brazil. My research is specially focused on collective intelligence and how we can implement new algorithms and multi-agent systems by drawing inspiration from the way social animals (mainly humans) establish connections to each other in social networks and how feedback mechanisms are used in such systems in order to achieve a given global behavior. More generally, I would say that my main interest is to investigate how computation occurs in complex systems, analyzing how individuals decide to which peers to connect, forming groups and "circuits", and how these individuals act on the information they gather from their contacts and from the environment. | I am a computer engineer pursuing a doctorate in Artificial Intelligence in the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Bio-Inspired Computing at the University of Campinas, Brazil.
