Julie Rehmeyer is a freelance math and science writer and the mathematics columnist for Science News. She received a master’s degree in math from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has written extensively on the sciences of complexity and on mathematical modeling, particularly in the context of climate change. Long ago, she was the Santa Fe Institute’s first undergraduate intern.
