Travis is investigating how complex systems science can be used to increase deep resident engagement in community-embedded initiatives. He studies multi-level health systems from the ground up using structural modeling and social network techniques. I investigate how complex systems science can be used to increase deep resident engagement in community-embedded initiatives. I study multi-level health systems from the ground up using structural modeling and social network techniques. To this end, I am currently evaluating a state-wide public health initiative to understand how changes in network structure align with desired health outcomes.

I am also interested in how gatekeeping influences research projects involving multiple levels of stakeholders. I am currently writing a grant that would look at how power, control, and other aspects of gatekeeping might moderate/mediate the outcomes of research projects and evaluation outcomes.
