World Order Stability project:

World Order Stability

The term "new world order" has been used to refer to a new period of history evidencing a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power. A leading question that continues to pervade the study of political science and international relations theory is the debate over world order and stability. The most prominent scholars in this field have weighed in on the question. Yet the debate continues: which is a more stable world order: a multi-polar world order (pre-WWI), a bi-polar world order (Cold War) or a uni-polar world order (post 9/11)? This project will draw on foodweb dynamics to model interactions between nation states in the world system.
