Rhonda Hoenigman

From Santa Fe Institute Events Wiki

I am a second year PhD student in the computer science department at University of Colorado, Boulder.

1. What are your main interests? My main research area is agent-based modeling and optimization of urban ecosystems.

2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group? I'm proficient in several programming languages, so I could help any group needing programming assistance. I also know a little bit about artificial intelligence, numerical analysis, and bicycling.

3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS? I hope to gain a broader understanding of complex systems, and how different disciplines incorporate complex systems into their research. I'm also looking for a deeper understanding of how agent-based systems can be used in spatio-temporal optimization problems.

4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS? I don't have any projects in mind related specifically to my area of research, however, I am interested in projects with agent-based modeling. I also think it could be interesting to do a project on optimization and game theory in bike racing.
