Miguel Ponce de Leon

Hi everybody!

I get my degree on biology and currently I'm working in my MSc thesis (Informatics) applying different optimization techniques to understand some principles of the evolution of metabolism across different micro-organisms. I'm also working in research project in bioinformatics studying some aspects of the evolution of particular group of proteins called variant surface glycoproteins (VSG).

In addition to science I love music and I really like go tripping. Last year I travel to the south of Argentina with a couple of friends. We stay in San Carlos de Bariloche for a couples of days an it is a very beautiful place.
