Im a PhD student at The University of California Davis working with John Rundle.

My work is focused on building and analyzing computer simulations of complex physical systems. These systems often exhibit unexpected behavior which is the result of highly complex underlying dynamics which are very difficult to understand and predict. I have been involved in studying various properties of two very different systems: an earthquake simulation called Virtual California and a lattice approach to quantum gravity called causal dynamical triangulations.
