Martha G. Alatriste Contreras
From Santa Fe Institute Events Wiki
I was born in Mexico City. I studied economics in the National University of Mexico (UNAM). While writing my thesis I worked as a research assistant at the Graduate Economics department. After graduating I studied the master program Analysis and Policy in Economics (APE) at the Paris School of Economics. Currently, I am in the PhD program in economics at the GREQAM in the Aix-Marseille School of Economics-EHESS.
My areas of interest are complex systems, networks, input-output analysis, macroeconomics, economic growth, and programming in Python. My project is to develop a dynamic network model for an economy which can be use to recommend better economic policies. The Graduate Workshop in Computational Social Science Modeling and Complexity at the Santa Fe Institute will provide me with valuable analytical training and with help in improving my computational skills which will help me to pursuit my research.
