From Santa Fe Institute Events Wiki

I recieved my BA in Cognitive Science from Vassar College. I now work as a research assistant in the Motor Performance Laboratory at Columbia University's Neurological Institute. Work in this lab has focused on the effects of stroke, Parkinson's and Huntington's disease on various aspects of motor learning and performance.

Some of my past studies dealt with robotic evolution, robotic locomotion, and issues of embodiment for perception-action systems. Currently, I'm more interested in human problems. My immediate goal is to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of cortical biophysics. Ultimately, I hope to gain and provide some insight into the organization of a healthy brain into an unhealthy one.

I'm looking forward to an exciting week in Santa Fe.
