I am generally interested in micro-macro approaches in social science and I am not a PhD. My undergraduate degree was in biology, from Fudan University in Shanghai. I started a computer service business in school dormitory and managed it until I moved to Toledo of Ohio due to family reason. I have finished two masters in econ and math at the University of Toledo. This fall I am going to UIUC to start PhD in Economics. Currently I am doing research in demography, but complexity in social science is my long term target. One of my research interests is Cliodynamics, the mathematical modeling of history. I hope to connect demographic, climatic records...to the dynasty cycles in China.
I like gardening and cat. Here attached a picture of my cat "cupcake". She looks like "Zen" in SFI but thinner.
