Garret Trujillo was born on November 3, 1995 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born deaf in completely hearing family. He has been attending New Mexico School for the Deaf since he was two years old. He always been enthusiastic when exploring the various science courses offered including Biology and Zoology, and had previously won First Place in the NMSD Science Fair three years in a row. An honor roll student since freshman year, he has always enjoyed being challenged. Now, he is looking forward to starting UNM in the fall to pursue a degree in Computer Science. In addition to his love of learning, he loves basketball, and outdoor activities such as mountain biking, camping, and hiking.
