Gang Yan

Gang (Gary) Yan was born in 1983 @ Hubei, P. R. China.
He received his BSc. in Electronic Engineering (Major in Circuits and System) from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, Anhui, P. R. China in 2005. And since that, he started his PhD. under the supervision of Prof. Zhong-Qian Fu (E.E. Dept., USTC) and Prof. Guanrong Chen (E.E. Dept., City University of Hong Kong).
He visited the Electronic Engineering Department with City University of Hong Kong and the Institute of Computing Technology with CAS in Beijing for several times and several months from 2006 to 2008.
His research interests are around the structure and function of complex networks, esp. simplifying the complex networks, statistical and spectral properties of large-scale technology networks in real world, synchronization and control on complex networks, compact routing for AS-level Internet, etc.
Beyond the research on complex networks, he likes music, esp. Rock and Gothic, psychology and literature. He also likes talking at random with interesting guys and girls. Please feel free to contact him: platoy(AT)mail.ustc.edu.cn
