Hi!
I recently finished my undergraduated program in Environmental Biology. I had worked in Conservation Biology (by mean of field research) and Theretical Ecology (using differential equations and complex networks)
I am interested in the interface between ecology, mathematics and computational science focusing ultimately in environmental science. In fact, my future goal is to apply the theoretical ecology in order to solve environmental problems.
I am happy to attend to this Complex Systems Summer School because I am convinced that the best mean to understand the environment and the ecological systems is the complex systems’ approach. Specifically I like very much the complex network approch.
I strongly agree with the SFI’s idea about the necessity to create a new kind of scientific research community, one emphasizing multi-disciplinary collaboration, and I hope that we might be part of this new community.
See you there!
