Carlos Perez-Espigares

From Santa Fe Institute Events Wiki

Hi Everyone!

I am a Ph.D. student at the Institute “Carlos I” for Theoretical and Computational Physics, University of Granada (Spain).

My research field is focused on the statistical physics of complex systems subject to strong correlations. In particular, my interests range from soft materials, glassy behavior and granular systems to transport in low-dimensional structures, fluctuations in nonequilibrium systems and other topics in nonequilibrium statistical physics. I study these and other problems using extensive numerical simulations and analytical techniques based on kinetic theory, mode-coupling theory and Langevin equations.

I’m very excited about having this great opportunity and I think we are going to create a very interesting multidisciplinary community.

This will be my first time in Argentina, so I’m really looking forward to going to Bariloche and meeting all of you there!!
