Ethne Barnes, Independent Author & Researcher: Paleopathologist/physical anthropologist with over 30 years experience studying ancient diseases and developmental anomalies in archaeological skeletal collections from around the world. PhD from Arizona State University with teaching experience at Wichita State University in Kansas. The past several years have consulted with several archaeological projects from Greece, Turkey, Mexico, and China. Most prominent publications: 1994 "Developmental Defects of the Axial Skeleton in Paleopathology" and 2005 "Diseases and Human Evolution." Currently reside in Tucson, Arizona with husband Art Rohn, a Southwestern archaeologist, and continue with research projects, writing and consulting.
