A theme I have picked up on this week is "Network Inference." The single general question on my mind is: what do we need to learn the unknown structure of a network? What if we have information about the network's dynamics? What if we know the network's clustering properties, or the rule by which it was formed? What if we are missing edges, nodes, an entire network? Can we make use of time series, mutual information, maximum likelihood, hidden Markov models?

This is not a project. I just want to get together, share knowledge, discuss ideas and maybe go home and implement some. Who is with me? Put your name here, or email me: cannon(AT)bu.edu.
