For those of you are interested in strategic analysis, grand strategy, and military competition, I'd be happy to provide an overview of Net Assessment - a particular form of strategic analysis developed by RAND in the 1960s which tries to understand the complexity of international strategic competition. I'm happy to provide some examples of why even the best efforts to understand the dynamics of the international competition, both real and imagined, fail.

For those who are interested in international relations, military strategy and competition, or in some real world challenges for complexity theory and tools I'd be happy to discuss this fascinating problem area in the 3rd or 4th week of the program.
