Emily Gates is an assistant professor of evaluation at Boston College. She evaluates social, health, and educational programs to understand their effectiveness and value and teaches graduate courses in program evaluation and mixed methods. She has a PhD in educational psychology and postdoctoral experience in public health. Her research interests include examining the applications of systems thinking and complexity science to program evaluation, which has led her to join 2019 CSSS.
