Completitive Strategies in Complex Systems is presented by the Santa Fe Institute, Alidade Incorporated, and Strategic Studies Group (CNO-SSG) and will be held at The Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy, located at the Salve Regina University, 100 Ochre Point Avenue, Newport, RI 02840.

Abstract: The rugged and changing landscape in which organizations, organisms and nations exist necessitates development of a competitive edge to persevere. Success in evolutionary, social and/or economic terms depends on the strategies employed to compete in a complex environment. This meeting explores how agents and actors in different systems adapt and evolve, particularly in response to challenging circumstances. The second day of the meeting includes structured break-out sessions designed to help attendees apply the theoretical principles of strategic thinking to their different scenarios.
