Complex Systems Summer School 2013 |
I am a PhD student in Scientific Computation at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I work with Michelle Girvan and William Rand. I am interested in applying modern statistical inference techniques to complex systems. My current research focuses on modeling and predicting dynamical processes occurring on social networks, incorporating empirical data to identify 'barcodes' for the behaviors of individuals. More generally, I am interested in developing and applying techniques from statistical learning theory to the social and biological sciences.
I look forward to the chance to meet and work with so many brilliant individuals from the biological, social, physical, and mathematical sciences this summer!
