Bree Tassin was born in Pineville, Louisiana, but at the age of thirteen, she transferred to St. Michael’s High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here, she enjoyed the benefits of a small, welcoming community and was able to establish hobbies such as running varsity cross-country, playing guitar, volunteering at the animal shelter, and singing. In her senior year of high school, she founded the Animal Rescue Team at St. Mike’s with the help of her Anatomy teacher Marigene Ficke. In this club, Bree, along with other volunteers, help around with offsite adoptions, kennel cleaning, and dog walking. Because of this, Bree holds a spot in the Santa Fe Animal Shelter’s youth board to promote overall youth activity in the city of Santa Fe. Bree has been accepted to Baylor University and plans to fully enjoy her future in Pre Veterinary studies!
