We plan to analyse the differences between projects managed with monolithic (http//subversion.tigris.org subversion) versus distributed ([git] and [mercurial] source control management.

Do different source control management models have implications for:

  • Structure of contribution community
  • Size of contribution community
  • Growth of contribution community
  • Code volatility
