I am currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Environmental Engineering program at the University of Michigan. My
dissertation focuses on using atmospheric inverse models to quantify regional carbon sources and sinks across the
globe and within North America. I am also hoping to write a chapter of my dissertation on the use of atmospheric
inversions for greenhouse gas monitoring within a future international climate change mitigation framework. Before
starting the doctoral program, I completed a joint master's degree in Natural Resources & Environment and Applied
Economics, also at the University of Michigan. My undergrad degree is in Mathematics from Columbia University.
And in between undergrad and grad school, I worked for 6 years in the financial software industry in New York City!
My future career interests are most likely out of academia, but hopefully helping to bridge the link between
natural science and environmental policy. I'm excited for this course to better see how my scientific research
fits into the larger picture of climate change mitigation and global sustainability.
