I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Vermont, working on a project entitled "Complex Systems Modeling for Environmental Problem Solving". My current research involves the application of genetic programming to model the nonlinear dynamics occurring between environmental variables and the production of algae, particularly cyanobacterial toxins that form during algal blooms. My background is in landscape ecology, and in my dissertation I investigated the scaling of river networks as determined by gradients in space, topography, and climate.

I will be arriving a day early and am looking to share accommodations in Bariloche on 30 November.

I am also staying a week after the school and plan on backpacking from Bariloche over the Andes to Chile. If you are interested in joining me, please contact me!
