From the viewpoint of statistical physics and nonlinear science, to understand the dynamics and evolution of biological pathways and networks.

2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group?

good knowledge and background in complex networks; theoretical analysis with statistical physics, stochastic process; c and matlab programing

3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS?

CSSS offers an excellent opportunity for me to improve my communication skills among a variety of people with different backgrounds.I would like to learn and further my knowledge in various disciplines, espcially in systems biology. It will benefit me for my further interdiciplinary research.

4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS?

Yes, some. For instancs, try to model and analyse the effect of miRNA on the signal tranduction on biological pathways, especially its effect on noise reducing; try to model and analyse the evolution of protein to undertand the relationship between protein's function and it topological role in protein-protein interaction networks; and so on. However, it depends. You know, the plan never catch up the change :)
