1. What are your main interests? Feel free to include a "pie in the sky" big idea! My interest is to understand; how institutions (rules, norms, values, regulations, code of conducts etc) regarding resources management and livelihood systems “born, grow, specialized, die, and change” in particular social and ecological systems in the coastal zone; how these institutions give feedback to the social and ecological systems; and finally how the whole systems interact each other. It includes how stakeholders adjust them selves to the systems and to each other; cooperation, competition, and rationality that bounds their choices. 2. What sorts of expertise can you bring to the group? Not much! For the last five years, I have been focused on resources management in the coastal zone, especially on livelihood systems of fishing folks and disaster management. I would willing to share my experiences and methodology. However, I bring a lot of questions!
3. What do you hope to get out of the CSSS? I hope to betterly understand complexity as a science More networks and colleges to discuss and share ideas At least, understanding the basic for modelling social systems
4. Do you have any possible projects in mind for the CSSS? I am also interesting to model my interest in point 1 (if possible), to make it visible for policy makers. Unfortunately, I cannot! I am not a modeler…. So, could somebody help me during this summer school (to discuss, share ideas etc)?
