My name is WANG Lanjun. I am a graduate student from Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University. My research interest is nonlinear and unpridictable phenomenon of drivers in intelligent transportation system. My msn is wanglanjun_nina@hotmail.com. Wish to see you in July!

1. What topics do you have some expertise in and would you be willing to help others learn them?

My research interest is intelligent transportation system. In this field, the first topic interested me is the performance of drivers. I have finished a project about Forward Collision Warning System on a vehicle. From this project, I learned the importance to consider the characteristic of human operator. And the second one is the traffic flow modeling, especial in car-following condition.

I studied a little psychology; maybe I could share some with others.

2. What do you want to learn at the CSSS?

Chaotic; Modeling the complex dynamic system; How people cognition

3. Do you have any projects or research interests that would benefit from an interdisciplinary approach?

Yes, it really happened. When I began the project mentioned above, I was an undergraduate student of in Physics Department. In order to make the warning efficiency, I learned some knowledge from Electrical Engineer, Human Factor and Engineering Psychology, they really helped me.

4. Do you have any ideas for what sort of project you would like to do work on with other CSSS students this summer?

Maybe I could give a primary solver on traffic flow modeling problem. But if there was some other topic interest me during CSSS, I will work on it.

5. Suppose you could travel one-hundred years in the future and ask researchers any three questions. What would those questions be?

(1) Is the quantum computer working?

(2) What about the artificial intelligent?

(3) What is about your transportation situation now?
