Hi, I am from Tirupati, India.
Currently, I am affiliated with GERAD, HEC Montreal, Canada, as a post-doc studying games under uncertainty with applications in energy markets. I obtained Ph.D in Econometrics and Operations Research (Nov. 2011) from Tilburg University, The Netherlands. My research work studies certain dynamic games with applications in economics and environment. Prior to moving to The Netherlands, I obtained M.S in Electrical engineering from the University of Maryland (UMD). At UMD, I studied flight behavior of bats in collaboration with neuroethologists. Earlier, I worked in topics related to signal and image processing.
My present research interests include mechanism design, optimal control, differential games and coalitional games. I would like to apply these tools in policy making and management science. I am keenly interested in understanding decision making inspired by biology and ecology. I am not happy with the traditional closed system based methods as they are too restrictive, and I strongly feel cannot be applied directly to the real world problems. More specifically, I would like to understand questions related to modeling decision problems/conflict situations where economic agents interact with systems that adapt and evolve over time.
During the CSSS, I wish to learn new concepts and to unlearn some of the old stuff I am hanging on to.
I used to do pottery and I hope to continue sometime soon.
